Location of Commercial for Travelocity?

Travelocity keeps running an ad with a young woman who has arrived to a beach hut at an exoctic island location with Edith Piaf playing in the background, overlooking incredible cliffs and ocean. Is this French Polynesia? Has anyone else seen it? I'm ready to go!

no kidding, that view is stunning, I've been wondering the same thing. If you really must know, why don't you go to their web site and find some info for email or phone number for corp headquarters and ask. I actually did that once as I became enamored of a piece of classical music in a perfume ad, so I found their corp. headquarters in NYC, called them up and asked to speak to PR/marketing dept and they told me the piece of music--really, those companies like it when their ads make such a stir and usually are used to people wanting to know things like that so are ready with the answer. On the other hand, maybe some world traveler here knows (I hope it is not fake and just computer-generated editing).

Head over to the Caribbean forum and do a search on St. Lucia -- I think it is one of the MAJOR honeymoon/romantic/expensive places there where the suites have open views out on the famous St. Lucia pitons.

Thank you!

Christina and Diane!

Both of you were so right! Not only was Travelocity amazing in getting back to me, it IS St. Lucia! I'm going...too tempting. Here is their response:
The t.v. commercial featuring a lady checking into "Villa B" is shot at the La Dera Resort in St. Lucia. The music playing in the background is sung by Edith Piaf.

Thank you again for your help! When are we leaving!?

It's Ladera resort, not La Dera (sorry to be nitpicky). All the rooms are open air, meaning they only have 3 walls. There is a lot of discussion on it at the Caribbean forum. It sounds amazing.

Thank you! It ISN'T nitpicking to me, accuracy is important in making reservations! Amazing what a commercial can do...I've never done this before based on one!

Good advertising really works, doesn't it? It is a tough life, but we've found ourselves alternating between the Caribbean and Europe for our travels. Someday I'd like to stay at Ladera, too. Have a wonderful trip!
