location and children
I'm going to London with my 10 yr old for only two days. Which location is going to afford me the easy access to everything?
|
London is an enormous city and there is no one location that is convenient to everything. Since you will be there only 2 days with a child why not make a list of the major things you want to do/see. If you provide that people can sugest the best neighborhood. Also, how much of an issue is price? If your budget is open one are may be recommended - if it is strict another area may be the only sensible option.

If you're near South Kensington Tube Station, you'll be withing walking distance of the Science and Natural History Museums (great for kids) and also walking distance to Harrods (toy department, 4th floor). The underground will quickly take you to anywhere else you want to go. Lots of hotels there.

I agree w/ nytraveler -- tell us a little bit about what you plan on doing and we can give you a better idea where good places to stay are. S. Kens. is great if you want to go to all the nearby museums and Hyde park -- but not so great if the Tower of London or the British museum are on your agenda.
So - what are some of your "must do's" |
julieliegh: I just realized you are the one who has posted many threads about the "Palace Strand" and other hotels.(BTW - It is the Strand Palace)
You have gotten answers on most of your other threads - there is really no need to starting brand new threads again and again . . . . |
If you can't find your other threads, just left click on your name.
