Locanda Barbarigo or La Calcina?
 

Trying to decide between these two places to stay in Venice. Any direct comparisons anyone can make. We want a canal view but would like to be close to San Marco, either by water or walking. Since it's for our honeymoon, we'd also like the more romantic of the two.

Have you confirmed that La Calcina has a room available? They are usually booked several months ahead.

We loved the Locanda Barbarigo and both of its canal view rooms are lovely. It is very close to San Marco and yet very quiet and peaceful.

Yes, La Calcina does have a room available for us. I just have to decide between these two places.
