Lisbon - Tried to convey its mood through a relaxing slideshow with music & photos- Enjoy!

I had the chance to visit Lisbon, Portugal during a two-day Conference last week. I knew from the very beginning that this was NOT the typical tourist destination!

Lisbon was NOT about buildings or touristic sightseeing... It was rather about its soul, its songs and its people. This makes it very difficult to depict its mood and its character...

However I tried hard!

In order to "give back" to this forum I just created a relaxing photo Slideshow, with my photos from Lisbon.

It is accompanied by music and tries to convey the true sould of Lisbon. Did I manage it? Not sure! Download the slideshow by clicking here: http://www.larios.gr/section116382.html

Enjoy!

I have also setup my Lisbon photo gallery at: http://www.larios.gr/gallery_110736.html

I would really appreciate your comments at my guestbook at http://www.larios.gr/guestbook.html

Thanks in advance,
Yannis

Stunning! You are an exceptional photographer. Even though I've never been to Lisbon, your photos, with the accompanying music, seemed to capture its magic! Bravo!

Hi,

Very well done. We're planned (mostly) for a trip in Spring 08 - our first to Portugal. Thanks.

Larios, your work is beautiful. With a shot amount of time availabl, you concentrated in Alfama and Castle hill, and that was a very sensible decision, since the area is the very heart of Lisbon and one of the pre-hearthquake preserved areas.
Sheila, the music is Guitarradas (fado music without singer's voice), played with the peculiar heart shaped Portuguese guitars. You may google it and it's available in amazon.com . Take care because Guitarradas is also a music style in Brasil.

I would like to thank you all for your kind words and for your warm comments at my guestbook at: http://www.larios.gr/guestbook.html

Since your are asking, the music is a piece called "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" and is played by the Greek guitarist Notis Mavroudis.
It is the 13th song at the CD entitled "Cafe de' Art" of Notis Mavroudis.

I thought it suits my Lisbon photos quite well!

Thanks again for your warm comments.

Regards, Yannis
