There is only the one train between Lisbon and Madrid. It arrives at MADRID-CHAMARTIN station at 08:40 in the morning.

You can visit Transprotes de Madrid (http://www.ctm-madrid.es/) to get all of the information you'll need to find your way around.

You might also visit the MultiMadrid web site (http://www.multimadrid.com/) for a little more information on the city.

Hi Robert,

I answer her question at http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34688575

She is trying to get to Plaza de Oriente from Chamartin, and I think it can be a bit on the difficult side ... Only 20 minutes during rush hour ... What do you think?

Cova,
She should take a taxi and not worry about trying to find her way around. I certainly would.
