Lisbon to Algarve

What is the driving time from Lisbon to Algarve coast. And would you take ferry across the bay to rent a car??

280 km / 2 hrs 45 min. drive to Faro (3hrs to Lagos) along the A2.
It's a very easy drive, very quiet tollroad.
