Lisbon home that is a 20 minute walk from Camões Square.
I am sorry to keep bothering you about my trip to Lisbon, but I am responsible for a large family group 8 of us altogether and all in our 60's), and that makes my decision making harder. We are all in good condition and we can walk.
We have found this great place to stay that seems to have a bus stop right in front of it. There may not be a lot of night life around it.
Normally, my DH and myself stay in the big middle of things so we have easy access to sites. This place is a 20 minute walk to Camões Square. That sounds fine to me, but I'm not quite sure what that means.
Will we have easy access to things from there? Does that make the house I found better? We will be in Lisbon for a week.
The house is at 84 Ria Presidente Arriga
We look forward to a fun and relaxing time together. I hope this place meets the bill.
Please let me know what you think.
Once we decide on the house, I have an idea what we want to do. This is the hard part since I am in charge for 6 other people.
Thanks in advance.

It's a bit out of the way, although I can't speak for the neighborhood in general, as I'm not familiar with it. According to google maps it's about 1.5 miles to Largo de Camões, which is more like 30 minutes (a mile is about a 20 minute walk at a decent pace).
Keep in mind that Lisbon is hilly, and lots of cobblestone sidewalks. Wear soft, comfortable, flat shoes regardless of where you stay. I'm not an expert on mass transit in Lisbon, but if public transportation is available (they have a good metro), it would probably be fine.
Other people here can probably give you more specific info.

Have you looked at the apartments offered by www.visitingportugal.com?They have several apartments and houses next to each other and are in a very central location. We had a very good experience renting from them.

I looked it up on Google maps and found that it's by the docks. I've been past there on the way to Belem, and to the nearby Museo do Oriente, and there's really nothing much there besides the museum. You'll have to travel to get to anything else. I'm not sure why you're interested in the Camoes Square in particular, but Google says it's a 29 minute walk, or 18 minutes by bus with one change. And I don't think it would be particularly interesting walk, at least the first part. You could make it to the Praca do Comercio by bus without changing.
Why aren't you looking in the center? If you really don't want to be in central Lisbon I'd consider staying in Cascais or Estoril or Sintra instead. At least there'd be more to see and more places to eat near where you'd be staying.

That's a nice neighborhood, and one of the city's main museums is right now the street (Ancient Art Museum)
The only problem is that there aren't many transportation options. Buses do pass by, but there's no metro and a tram that goes downtown passes way down the street.
Besides the museum there isn't much within reasonable walking distance.
Your best options would be apartments in the neighborhoods of Chiado or Baixa. You'll find many options here: http://www.golisbon.com/apartments/
Camoes Square which you mentioned is the main square of the Chiado district and is often used as a reference and meeting point: http://www.lisbonlux.com/lisbon/largo-do-camoes.html
