Robes, the reason I said a "tri or quad" is because the OP said something about wanting to use it in the US.
|
I didn't see that. Still don't. OP is "locked into Verizon" which pretty well precludes using GSM in the US.

hi Paris Amsterdam,
I have followed your suggestion and ordered from CIE including a phone ( mine is not GSM - Bell Canada). When I get the phone will the SIM card be instoled so I can just turn the phone on in Spain or is there something I have to do??? sorry , this is my first time ( and about time) doing this. |
Hi Danon, Yes, the phone will be all ready to go. Last summer we had CIE do the call forwarding number for us... a 416 area code number would ring our phone in France. Callers paid only long distance (if any) to the 416 number and as we were in France the incoming call was free. Worked great. Best of all... the cost was 10 cents a day extra! Check the charger when your phone arrives, it should say "110-240" or similar... you can make sure it's charged fully before you leave. Any other questions, feel free to ask... I also found CIE support excellent when I had a couple of questions. Rob |
thanks Rob.
