Limo service from Rome airport

Still trying to find a private car service to take us from FCO to our hotel in Rome. I've contacted airportshuttle but they provide a shared van service. Any suggestions on a reasonable private car transfer?? We have a long journey from LAX via London with a 5 hour lay over in London. I'm trying to make this last part of the trip easy.

Try romashuttle.com. I booked a transfer with them. It looks like it takes 2 persons for 37 euro.

Another vote for limoservice.rome

Very efficient, reasonably priced, and drivers are most courteous.

You can also ask your hotel to make the arrangement for the pick up

I have used them in the past and will use them again on my next trip in May.

The Limo service Mercedes E Class where you won't be on share with others is only 39. http://www.airportconnection.it/limousenprice.htm

Or Shuttle service is 25 euro for 1 or 2 people will share with others.

Hi
We contacted our hotel via e-mail and they had a limo meet us at the airport. The charge was 50 eur. The hotel contacted a limo to also return us to the airport for the same pric.
It was worth it as it was about 45 min from the hotel by the Pantheon.

Another vote for limoservicerome. Private car, courteous, dependable service, and very easy to book.

I am not going to Rome this year but I checked the limoservice.com site. The rates look very good I must say. That's good to know. Thanks.

susant100 Feb 3rd, 2004 08:53 PM

Thanks for the info. I did contact my hotel and they want 60Euro as we are arriving at 21.05. Airport connection seems to be the best deal so far as I have not heard back from limoservicerome.com. Thank you for all of your suggestions!

susant100 Feb 8th, 2004 07:48 AM

Thanks again for all of your suggestions. After shopping around, we are going with Airport Connection. Their rate is 39Euro including night pickup, Mercedez E Class, private car, taxes, luggage, etc.

Susan - let us know how this works out as you got 9 postive responses for limo service rome and only one for airport connection. It seems a little cheaper so when you get back maybe you could add your experience to this post. Thanks!

ecat Feb 8th, 2004 08:10 AM

Susan, I think you'll be happy with them. I know I always felt very shi shi being picked up in a shiny benz and believe me it's not my usual mode of transportaion.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

How far in advance is it advisable to reserve ?

susant100 Feb 8th, 2004 09:39 AM

I certainly will let you all know how it goes. I was going to book with Limo Service Rome as there were so many positive responses, but Airport Connection was very professional in their response so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully I made the right decision based on cost.

Okay...You all were right and I was wrong. We had a horrible experience with Airport Connection. Live and learn...you get what you pay for..
