Lighthouse accomodations in Great Britain

We are planning a trip to Great Britain sometime next spring. My friend is fascinated by lighthouses and would love to stay in one. Would really appreciate any recommendations of such a place to stay - our travel plans are very preliminary now - no definite places in mind so we are open as to location.
Thanks so much

Pam

Pam... there is a converted lighthouse (1817) hotel on the SW coast of Scotland. The Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel, Stranraer. We didn't stay there but I'm sure you'll find info about it at at the Scotland Tourist website. Have fun!

The Landmark trust and the Nat'l Trust (as mentioned above) both have converted lighthouses. But they tend to book up months or even years ahead so contact them right away. There are coastguard cottages for rent on the sites of lighthouses in several places including Ross/Cromarty in Northern Scotland.

The National Trust for Scotland (NOT the same as the National Trust) also have lighthouses. There's a sort of B&B near Gairloch in Ross-shire, Scotland, called Rua Reidh, which has its own web site. Someone on here was going there recently. Worth a search?
