LHR - What terminal is American Airlines?
 

I am curious because I assumed it was terminal 4 and that all international flights went thru terminal 4. However, I saw another post from someone flying United from Terminal 3? Thanks!

According to the Heathrow Web site, American airlines uses Terminal 3. To see for yourself, go to www.baa.co.uk, click on "London Heathrow," "In our airport," and "which terminal."

Oops! There is no "in our airport." Click on "Airport information" and then on "which terminal?"

United and American both use Terminal 3.

Another way to check this out, not only for LHR on AA, is to find the flight number, go to the AA flight status, and put the flight # in for today.

It will show you which terminal, and, usually, which baggage claim you will go to.

I was just there two weeks ago....they BOTH use Terminal 3.

Terminal 4 is principally British Airways and is located on the other side of the airport from Terminals 1-2-3. Terminal 5 is under construction and will purportedly accommodate most if not all BA operations when it opens in the 23rd century (just joking.)

At that time, the talk is that T2 will get the remodeling it so richly deserves (i.e. razing and redevelopment as a pond) as well as facelifts for T3 and T4.

No, it just feels that way if you're checking in there for a plane leaving round 1100 or 2100.

But think about your assumption for a moment. How could there possibly be more than about one domestic flight a century in a country as small as ours? All terminals - pretty well all flights, really - are international, and all terminals have intercontinental (indeed, transatlatic) flights going from them
