LHR to LGW
I think the flights we'll be on go into LHR and connect to a flight out of LGW. Is it difficult/expensive? What would be the best way to go? (and how far apart are they?) We may decide to stay overnight so time wont really be an issue. thankyou!!

Not difficult. Not expensive. But time consuming. There is a direct coach linking LHR and LGW - but you need to allow a minimum of 4.5 to 5 hours between flights.
The coach trip takes between 45 and about 90 minutes depending on traffic. |
janisj - thanks for the quick reply! WOW i had no idea it would be so time-consuming.. i think we will def stay overnight. that will give us time to rest up. again, thanks for the info!

The coach is the National Express:
http://www.nationalexpress.com I took this coach after 10 PM at night and the coach ride by itself took longer than 45 minutes, even with the minimal traffic you get at that time. I totally agree with the minimum 5-hour in total suggestion, because I have been held up incredibly long at Heathrow with one thing or another. If you will be staying overnight, I suggest that you select a hotel in central London near an easy train link to Gatwick Airport. That way you can enjoy a bit of London and get to LGW easily the next day. |
perfect! thank you Willtravel. and i DO appreciate the link!
