Les Ombres Paris

Have any of you fine folk ever dined at Les Ombres Paris @Quai Branly?

The restaurant has stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, but how is the food?

Keith and I will be in Paris December 4-10.

Thank you,
Thin

Hi Thin, I've been there a few times for lunch, never dinner. The food was very good. The view is amazing.

Another place with a fabulous view, great food and excellent service is L'Oiseau Blanc, on top of the Paris Peninsula.

I ate there several years ago (lunch). I thought the food was okay. The view is nice.

My daughter and I ate dinner there a few years ago. I remember a great view but not a very memorable meal or service. But, we went for the view so it wasn't a big disappointment.

Several years back had lunch there, remember the view more than the food but recall it as a pleasant memory.

How important is the view compared to the food? You might check out both Brasserie Auteuil and Le Perchoir Marais. Spectacular views and good cocktails, but I can't vouch for the winter menus.

Thank you, Mel. A view is nice, but food and wine is the most important thing.

Thin...if the budget is large, consider Le Cinq at the George V,.......my DD loves it for "special". If you have not been before, and don't do dining, the lobby and bar are wonderful to see with magnificent floral arrangements. Much less expensive but a place we like a lot is Les Climats.......very nice atmosphere and good food....and, all Burgundy wines!
