Leo S. Croce Florence
Has anyone eaten at Leo's in Florence? If so, was it worth it? Is there a website to make a reservation? What are your top five picks for FLorence restaurants?

One of our best meals EVER was at Leo's. Definitely recommended.

Ate there twice last Oct. And we rarely eat at the same place twice. Very good!

I agree, it's a wonderful restaurant. I've never made a reservation to eat there, always just walked in. I loved their carpaccio di zucchine (thinly sliced zucchini and parmesan cheese)
The internet address on Leo's in S. Croce's business cards doesn't work any longer. But this address will take you to their home page, with an email address if you want to write and try to make a reservation! http://www.italiatoday.net/aa/leo/index.html |
Leo's is fantastic. We ate there twice when we were there in November. It can be pricey I think our meal was $170 the first night and $200 the next. Granted we had a bottle and a 3-course meal. As mentioned, the carpaccio di zucchine is fantastic and so is another main course dish that is not on the menu. It consisted of spinach topped with white cow beef strips, lemon and parmesan. When we were there it wasn't crowded, so I am not sure if locals eat there or only tourists.

Thank you spinesrgn, jabez, sacc, and Marit77! I am looking forward to a wonderful meal there. I looked at the website and was relieved to see that it is not "communal dining" at picnic tables. My husband refuses to do that and a number of the restaurants in Florence that Fodorites recommend are communal dining! I will try your menu suggestions!
