Legoland?

I only have 2-3 days in Copenhagen and would like to go to Legoland though I know its many miles up.
Does anyone know how long it takes by coach, or should I rent a car and drive up? Looking for a time-saving yet not too expensive option.
Thanks.

It's approximately a 3 hour drive from Copenhagen and if you drive the bridge between the 2 big islands will cost you about $20 each way.

We flew into Billund and took a train to Copenhagen wanting to see the country side on the way. Well, there wasn't much to see. Next time we would fly all the way. Train took about 4 hrs, there is no train station in Billund.

The park is right next to the Billund airport, so are the hotels, so you don't need a car there if that is all you are doing. The car trip would have been about 3 hrs one way and the car rental in Denmark was not cheap.

I don't know where you are coming from, but you can fly direct to Billund from major European cities. So you can eliminate Copenhagen-Billund-Copenhagen trip by flying direct into Billund or flying out of Billund by moving your trip to the beginning or at the end of your Denmark visit.

Well I will be coming in from Sweden into Denmark- and then I have to return back to Sweden for my flight back to London.

Are you doing:
London-Sweden-Copenhagen-Billund-Copenhagen-Sweden-London? All these back tracking?

I presume you already have your planes and hotels booked so something like:
London-Sweden-Copenhagen-Billund-London is no longer an opion?

Im actually doing UK-Norway-Stockholm-Malmo-Denmark-Malmo-London
Have not gotten accomodation but the flight fr Malmo to London is already booked.
But in the first place is LegoLand worth the visit though we're no longer kids? Or should I just settle for Legoland Windsor?

When my kids were small we took them to Legoland. Unless you are a real Lwgo-fan, I think it really is a place for children. I believe you´ll enjoy more if you just stroll around Copenhagen.

Ok, another "worth it" question. We have been to Legoland in Carlbad, Windsor, and Billund (they now have another one in Germany...) Since you mentioned Windsor, I can tell you about differences. Whether it is worth a visit depends on your personal preference.

The rides were very similar at each park. The lego villages were completely different between parks. We liked the one in Billund the most, seemed like most extensive and intricate.

One that we almost missed was the Titania's palace, unique to Billund. My wife was enchanted by the extent of this intricate doll house palace.
