Lego land and Windsor
 

Is it possible to do Windsor and Legoland in one day? I will be staying in Kensington near Glouster tube.My boys want to see Legoland. Should i take the tube from Glouster to Waterloo? and then get the train. Also once I get there how do I then get to Legoland? Has anyone been to Legoland? It is expensive but is it worth it?

Yes, it can be done. We have done it by arriving at the Windsor castle at the opening time. We were done with the castle by noon and ate lunch at the Legoland. We took a train from Waterloo station.<BR><BR>We took a bus from Windsor to the Legoland. We were wondering how to get there, and there was a bus with "LEGOLAND" sign on it. The stop was on the road connecting train station to the Windsor castle, just keep going past the castle for perhaps a block. It think the bus runs about once an hour.<BR><BR>Whether it is worth the price depends on individual preferences. We've been to the one in Billund, Carlsbad, and this one. We liked the Windsor one over Carlsbad, but not as much as the one at Billund. Each Legoland has lego villages, but the themes are different. The rides are similar across the parks. It was one place in UK where I saw adults wearing sneakers, shorts, and loud T-shirts.

The Waterloo train goes direct to Windsor and Eton Riverside rail station; a train from London's Paddington station goes to Windsor/Eton Central station, with a quick and easy change at Slough. <BR><BR>The direct train actually takes a bit longer (about 50 minutes) because it makes more local stops. <BR><BR>BOTH Windsor stations are walking distance to Windsor Castle.<BR><BR>The shuttle bus to Legoland from is the way to go...<BR><BR>Legoland and Windsor castle are vastly different tourist attractions. But for a family, the combination covers a lot of ground in one day. Thanks for the info. So the train is the best way to go The green bus line also goes to Windsor. Price is 7.50 pounds and 4 for a child and you can purchase a ticket to Legoland at Victoria station. Is the train the better way to go? Does anyone know the price?<BR>

Have not been there, but have been to the one in Carlsbad, CA.<BR><BR>How old are the kids - if they are over 8, i would forget it. I found it ot be quite expensive - $35.00 for adults who have almost nothing to do except watch the kids
