left luggage
Is there a left luggage area in the central train station in Naples and in Pisa?
|
Yes - there's a staffed left luggage office at all major city stations.
This includes Pisa Centrale - though Pisa San Rossore is 10-15 min walk from the leaning tower, Pisa Centrale is a mile or two away. |
It looks like there is left luggage at both stations, per the Rail Europe website:

there are never any lockers IME due to terrorists threats but at main stations only there is a manually staffed left-luggage place but non at small stations like Pisa San Rossore, which is at most a 10 minutes walk from the Leaning Tower area and good for folks going onto say Lucca as it has hourly trains to Lucca too - there is a baggage storage at the Leaning Tower however.

Thank you all.

The Naples Centrale left luggage:
http://www.napolicentrale.it/it/serv...posito-bagagli While the rates are the same among the stations that offer left luggage service, the hours vary a bit from station to station. The service is usually at main stations in the large cities and few others with heavy tourist traffic (such as Pisa Centrale). I was a Pisa Centrale once not too long ago and the left-luggage office was closed for a break or something - for at least a half-hour before I left - leave plenty of time before catching your train and retrieving your luggage as this place has little business it seems and may take IME long breaks. Or tell the clerk or ask if when you come back at X pm will there be any problems getting our luggage out?
a word of warning and in big stations long queus can form and at times these train station workers and move at a snail's pace - leave a lot of time to retrieve luggage in Italy - la Dolce Vita you know! |
