Left luggage 1 week in Split?
Hello,
We will be going on a week-long cruise from Split in October, arriving on a Saturday from Ancona by ferry at 07:00 and leaving again at 13:00. We will be traveling for over 3 weeks and will each be carrying a good-sized bag. Since space will be pretty tight on the boat (upper and lower beds), I was thinking that we should take the essentials sailing with us, and leave the rest in a locker or left luggage facility for a week. Does anybody know if this is available in Split? The bus station seems to have a 24-hr limit. Does anyone know if it's possible at the train station and the cost per day? Thanks! |
Bump.... please, I need to know if I can leave a suitcase at the train station for one week. The info would be *much* appreciated - thanks!

There is a left luggage office next to the Spli Bus station opposite where the cruises leave from , & it was reasonable. I think it was called Garda Roba.

In Split, there are left luggage offices in the bus station and in the railway station. Both are immediately adjacent to the ferry terminal. The Croatian word for left luggage is "garderoba". You should check that they will keep luggage for a week - the bus station one is a fairly small kiosk and they may not want long-term deposits.

We were in Split in July and although we only left a bag for the day, the ladies at the garderoba were quite pleasant. There was a couple ahead of us who were leaving a bag for 4 days without any problem.
We did leave a big bag at the very small garderoba at the bus station in Dubrovnik for 2 weeks. They were a little amazed (the signs said 24 hours max), but took it without a problem. Be aware though, that there is no discount on the daily rate if you store for longer. We ended up paying about 500 kuna for the 2 weeks |
