Lech lodging

Can anyone recommend ski-in/ski-out lodging in Lech? I'm planning to go in February - family of 4. Ideally, we'd love to be able to walk to the slopes. But I also don't want to spend a fortune so I'll consider 3-star hotels that would allow us a quick drive to the ski areas. I'd prefer a small apartment or suite as opposed to a hotel room, just to give us some extra space. Any suggestions or experience?

I have no recommandation for you, but try http://homes.tiscover.com/project/eu...index...2.html
or

Note that perhaps you will need to specify "Vorarlberg" as region or "Lech am Arlberg" as full name.

We have Austrian friends who spend a few weeks in Lech each winter. They always stay at the 4-star Hotel Elisabeth. It has suites that could accommodate four. Our friends usually stay on the half pension plan (breakfast and dinner) and have lunch slopeside or in a cafe.

The best ski-in/out in Lech is actually in Oberlech. You might want to look at what is available there. It is probably a bit more expensive, but the area is completely traffic free and if you choose not to you never need to walk to a lift or back from one. There are plenty of hotels and apartments available. I would suggest going to their website and looking at the interactive map, which will show you the hotels/apartments and their locations. www.lech-zuers.at look for the village map under lodging. Have a great trip, its one of my favorite areas.

I agree on looking at oberlech. There are a few apartments there. The web site is the best place to start. Both Lech and Oberlech are small- or look at Zurs. You can ski on all the slopes as your lift ticket covers the whole area. There's a great bus linking the towns.

opps one more thing. If you really want to go there book it today! I booked our Feb. ski vacation for Oberlech in July!

We stayed at the Kristiana last year... it's not really ski in/out (you can ski in when heading back from Zurs) but it was excellent. Nice breakfasts, great dinners.

We found that you didn't really need ski in/out. Since a couple of days you'll probably go to Ste Anton or Ste Cristophe, it was actually more conventient to be close to one of the bus stops (free with your ski pass).
