Can anyone tell me how long a walk it is from the train station to the centro area, assuming no mobility problems other than a towing a rollie?

About a kilometer, but you can get a specific estimate from the station to your chosen destination on google maps. :)

Go to google maps. Enter "Lecce train station." Click the "directions" option. Specify the place in the center to which you want to go. Click on the walking icon. Hit enter. see result.
