Lebara phone number
I am trying to tell someone how to call me while in France, using the Lebara sim card in my cell phone.
The number that was included is 10 digits, starting with a 0 and the next number is 6. I see online that French phone # are 9 digits long. Does that mean that the 0 isn't part of the phone number? Thanks~ |
Deb - from the US dial 011+ 33+ phone number without the leading zero

Thanks, Seamus! That is what I figured.

BTW the leading zero IS included when you are dialing from within France

There are some other numbers that you can dial before the 01133 which will reduce the cost of the call from the US. Unfortunately, I don't know what they are. My wife does, but she is visiting friends in Sonoma at the moment. If nobody else posts the numbers to call, I'll get them from her when she returns later today.

Thanks Stu.

Stu - that is known as a "dial-around", what used to be known as 10-10 because one would dial 10-10-xxxx before the long distance number. One of the popular ones is penny talk - www.pennytalk.com. I used it in the past but when they started charging a monthly maintenance I let it lapse.

My wife just got home.
We dial 10 10 987 then the 011 33 plus the number. Stu Dudley |
That sounded interesting. Stu, so I looked it up. The web site is http://www.1010987.com/ and it looks a really good thing to know about.
Thanks! |
