Leaving for Paris tomorrow ....

I read that the weather in Paris has been rainy for the last 2 weeks. I leave tomorrow for Paris. I am bringing a nylon-lined cotton jacket which will double up as a rain coat, a thick sweater and a denim jacket. I stil don't know whether I need to bring along a leather jacket, especially for evening outings.

you don't need a leather jacket. it's not hot, maybe a little chilly, but not cold.

I was in Paris at the beginning of May and walked around in a light jacket. Yes, it rained, but never for too long (and you can always duck into a cafe or a museum!). I had a fabulous time, and I hope you do, too.

I was in Paris 5/16 - 5/19. Only very light rain one evening after dusk. It was HOT during the day, highs in the 70's, I actually sunburned my face. All the girls were wearing very summer-y tops. Weather.com does say showers over the weekend and lows of 50 , highs in the 60's.

I brought my leather jacket, never touched it, wasted alot of luggage space...but if you are checking bags and you have the room, why not?
