Go! Without hesitation, go. Indeed the trip will be different because of the bombing. There is something truly wonderful when a community pulls together after such an act of terrorism. Love for humankind and deep compassion are unleashed in amazing ways. Perhaps, it's God's gift.

We were at the Atocha train station just two weeks before the bombing and stayed just two blocks from Plaza Colon. If we had been there during the bombing and had been fortunate enough to walk with the Spanish, I think it would have truly been a highlight to our trip and an unforgetable life experience.

And, please leave a note an some flowers at the site. (OaktownTraveler has it right on!) There are still folks who visit Oklahoma City and leave remembrances at our bombing site. It is very touching for a community to feel the outpouring of love from strangers. And, for such a length of time.

My daughter is going to Spain in April with her school (I hope). There is a meeting this weekend with the school board to decide. Personally, I think it would be the safest time and place to travel to. The city will be on heightened alert. Giving in to these terrorist demons is what they want. Anyone else with a similiar situation? This trip is really out of my hands now. I pray for the best decision to be made.
