Can we safely leave our luggage in the Munich train station? How much does it usually oost?

If you haven't already pick up the Rick Steve's Guide for Munich/Germany. He'll let you know exactly what to do with luggage.

He didn't steer us wrong in all the places we've been and how to deal with our luggage.

Good luck!

Thanks - I will check that out. I have Europe through the Back Door but didn't come across that info.

Every train station in Germany I've been, in has luggage lockers, from Duesseldorf right down to the whistle stop of Buchloe, where we stashed our gear on the way to Ludwig's castles.

I think the large locker (which held 4 rollaboards) was 2€ for the day.

That's exactly what I wanted to know -- this site is so helpful.
Thank you so much.

Of course you can. Luggage lockers are available inside the station. The price is 2 to 4 € per 24 hours, depending on the size of the locker. Maximum storage time is 72 hours.

I know we've used the RS Guides for the specific towns we were going to be in and he's never led us wrong on tips such as finding the right lockers at train stations. Everyone's right on how inexpensive it is too.
