Leather PDA case - can I find a nice one in Italy
I just upgraded my PPA and need a new leather case. Since I'll be leaving for Italy in a few weeks, I'm thinking of holding off on a purchase of a leather case until I get to Italy. Do any of you Italy shoppers know if PDAs are popular in Italy in the sense that finding a nice leather case is possible.

Thanks.... hoping this goofy question gets at least one response.

I have found that PDA's using Palm operating system is more commonly used in the US and Psions are more common in several European countries than the US.

PDA leather cases are specific to certain models (like car parts, unlike blue jeans) so you may or may not find one for you.

Buy one in your home country. If you don't mind waiting you can go to Italy then buy one only if you see what you want.

Gucci leather is cheaper in Italy than the US, which is cheaper than Japan.

What's a PDA? What's a PPA?

a PDA is a Personal Digital Assistant, or sometimes generically called a "Palm Pilot" or even a "palmtop", after the (once?) market leader.

Best wishes,

Rex
[email protected]
Just for the record, the PDA in question is a Dell Axim. One case I'm looking at is made in Spain. There is also one made in Hong Kong I believe. This got me thinking that I just might be able to find one in Italy.
just to be fresh...why don't you take a side trip to HK??

Hiroshi is right--you have to find a case that fits the model you have. I've noticed that in the UK, the Psion is very popular; in Austria, you see a lot of people with the Compaq PDAs.
My husband has a Palm Pilot and I was able to find a very nice Louis Vuitton case for it for his birthday (in the plain black leather, not the LV initial pattern). I was in the Milan Prada store a few weeks ago and didn't notice any PDA cases.
