Leather jacket in May in Paris?
I will be traveling on the Queen Mary 2 in early May and taking my unlined leather jacket for walking the decks during the day--high 40's to mid-50's is, I gather, standard for the North Atlantic. Sending some of my clothes home when I reach London, then in Paris for remainder of May. And in Venice in June--not cold. Should I send the jacket home or keep it with me for Paris--i.e., are there still days in May when it may be needed?

Who knows?
No one can predict the weather. Keith and I where in Venice last June and it was absolutely blazing! I would bring a hoodie or cotton sweater to Paris in May. Lightweight and doesn't take up too much room in the luggage. We like to be carefree whilst on holiday. Cheers, Thin |
Check the weather report when you get to London and send it home if it looks to be warm.

It was warm in Paris last year the end of May. Ship it home.

Thanks. Will probably send it home based on the above responses. Yes, I heard from a friend in Umbria that Italy last summer, all summer, was unbearably hot. Hope not "unbearable." Don't believe the apartment has AC.
