Least rain in Croatia and Slovenis-May or Oct?
 

I am planning a 14 day trip through Croatia and Slovenia, hitting the main tourist destinations along the coast and inland. We can go anytime between Oct. 1 and May 1. I've checked weatherbase.com for the precipatation, but still can't figure out whether we would have less rain the first 2 weeks of May or the first 2 weeks of Oct. I know there are no guarantees when it comes to weather, but I would like to have the odds in our favor, if possible. Can anyone give me some advice concerning the average rainfall during those 2 times?

Hard to say, my uncle and aunt have been coming to Croatia for years now in May and normally first two weeks are nice but towards the end of month it rains frequently. October has been beautiful for past 4 years, the sea is still warm enough for swimming and it is hot enough during the day. I vote for October

I was there the first week last October. It rained and was cool though the water was still warm.

So there you go! I think you need too trust Google on this rather than personal testimony.

Check the weather sites for data, but do not overlook the longer days in May as well.
