Least expensive time to travel
Hello all you frequent world travelers, when is the least expensive time of the year to fly to Europe - specifically to Frankfurt, Germany from Atlanta, USA? We need to go house hunting sometime this year - 2003 for a move in Summer 2004. Thanks!

Short answer: dead of winter. This can span as much as Nov 1 to Apr 1. And some bottom-of-the-barrel fares - - with very selected dates and terms were on sale even for Sep 3-Oct 31 on USAir in the past few days.
I wouldn't be surprised if you are able to find fares as low as $300-$350 (fairly remarkable, considering that the taxes are now close to $100 of that).
Best wishes,
Rex

Went to travelocity.com, put in your route & selected "find best fares". The cheapest was $415 on Lufthansa. These were the travel dates
1NOV-14DEC03 OR 25DEC03-31MAR04.
As Rex says, you may be able to do better by searching around, but basically Nov - March excluding time leading up to Xmas.
