"Leaning Tower" image in Piazza San Marco
An update from VeniceWord.com
NEWS. The restoration work on the Clock Tower in St. Mark's Square is continuing, and the photographic "provocations" are continuing, too. As we reported last October, the scaffolding around the Clock Tower was draped with the image of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Now, six months later, there's a photograph of another famous tower: the Eiffel. And quite an eyeful it is. It's the second phase of the project by the restoration firm, which wanted to offer onlookers something more attractive that the standard screening that covers most scaffolding. As part of the
theme, the next photographs will feature London's Big Ben and New York's Empire State Building.
