Le Train Bleu (on a budget?)

I have read so much about Le Train Bleu that I would really like to go there on my next trip. Is it doable on a budget? I don't drink so I'm looking at food only.

It depends upon your budget; last year this time the prix fixe was 43 euro. It is a very nice experience to dine there!

Hi C2,

If you go, you might want to ask for a table in the smoking section.

It is a very nice room toward the back. Less noisy and crowded than the main room, and hardly anyone was smoking when we were there in 2005.

The menu rejane is now 45 euros. It is certainly the best deal.

Here is the website and you can click menu rejane to see what it includes:

Just for the beauty of it, you'll be pleased. You can catch a view of it in the French film, La Femme Nikita.

if you just want to enjoy the ambience, you may order coffee or a drink.
you are not obligated to eat a meal.

we actually just walked through the place, after confirming it was o.k., to show it to a first-timer, and were not ready for a meal or drink.

it is a lovely place. at least stop to see it, even if you aren't hungry when you are in the neighborhood!
