kerouac, I guess your post calling it "just a train station restaurant" was meant to be funny. But I think the humor would escape me if I hadn't already been there and know how ludicrous the statement is.

We had the "signature" lamb carved at table and the fantastic potatoes. It was superb, but it's not a place I'd go for "avant garde" dishes. The lamb and potatoes were not overpriced in the least for their quality (not even counting the setting).

It's a long walk from Notre Dame, but is possible yes.
