LE TERRAE

I have just booked the villa Le Terrae near the town of Orte. Is is as good as the pictures look?

Giannin - we stayed at Le Terrae two years ago and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely - just what you're expecting. E-mail me directly if you would like restaurant recommendations and touring suggestions.
This is an example of how amazing this forum is - you can find out about a single villa from the millions in Italy.

Congrats, Fodors!

Where is Orte? Do you have a phone / fax #, e-mail, or other method of contacting them?

What type of place is this? OK for family of 4?

Thank you for ideas.

Avice,

Orte is approximately 49 Km from Rome. The villa can be seen at leterrae.com. My trip is not until May 2001 so I have no first hand knowledge but Elizabeth has confirmed my hopes that it is beautiful. It is about 6 Km from a main train station (in Orte) and a main freeway. I chose it because it was close enough to Rome to make it convenient but far enough from the city to make it reasonably priced (we are staying for 2 weeks).

There are tons of villas at rentvilla.com but they weren't taking reservations for May yet and I have 8 people in my party.

If you go to ask.com and type in "rent a villa in Rome" you will get a huge amount of web sites and information about apartments, bed & breakfast and homes to rent in Italy.

Good Luck!!
