Run, don't walk to Colombe d'Or. A friend, who is a mover and shaker in this world, lists this as one of her favourite restaurants. I have sat on the veranda in front of it, but did not eat there, because I didn't have time or reservations. I am so sorry now.

I went there a few years ago with family and ate on the terrace. (Summer!) Will never forget it! Wonderful! And their art collection from artists who evidently paid for their food with art is phenomenal!
Worth the "not cheap"!

We stayed at Le Saint Paul and had dinner there. The diniing room very beautiful. The second night of our stay, we ate at La Colombe d'Or.

We thought the food and service at St. Paul was the far superior of the two. The La Colombe d'Or seemed to be shorthanded even though the dining room was half empy and the service not as professional as the Le St Paul. Le Saint-Paul is a member of the Relais & Chateaux group and La Colombe d'Or is not now. I do believe they were a member at one time in the past. Perhaps that is of no importance.

We had dinner last spring at La Colombe d'Or. The meal was wonderful and the setting (the art) spectacular. We would definitely return. We've not dined at Le St. Paul so cannot compare.
