Le Meridiane in Siena- or other affordable apts.?
Hello. Has anyone stayed at Le Meridiane? We are probably going to base in Siena, without a car, and this seems to be a) affordable, and b) convenient to the Siena bus station.
I know you have to bus into Siena proper- does anyone know how late the buses run back? Or how long the walk is? Any experiences would be great! Also, other Siena apartment rentals for under $500 USD per week would be great too. |
Hi Tar,
>this seems to be.... convenient to the Siena bus station. I know you have to bus into Siena proper- < AFAIK, the SITA bus station is very close to the Campo. Are you thinking of a different bus line? |
Hello Ira! I can always count on you for a response :)
Le Meridiane is slightly outside of Siena, but there is a bus that runs into the city regularly. That's what I mean by saying I would need to catch the 5-minute bus into Siena itself in order to connect with buses going elsewhere. Sorry for the confusion! :) |
Hi Tar,
I looked up their site. Nice place. Good rates. They claim to be 2km from the city center, which is a nice walk. Why not contact them for the bus schedule? If you dial 1016868 before the 011, it will be only 10 cts/min. |
Thanks Ira. I'll try that!
