Le Marche Trip

Perhaps someone out there (perhaps Jackie_In_Italy?) could share some information about a specific area of Le Marche. We will be visiting a small town, Servigliano, in March/April next year. This will be our first trip to Europe. After a day or so in Rome, we will visit Servigliano, Capodarco and Falerone. I believe we will have contacts there to help us with getting around, but would appreciate any suggestions on things to see, do, and/or avoid. Also, any hints about the weather would be helpful for packing purposes. Neither of us is particularly athletic, so want to pack as light as possible.

If you find yourselves in Ancona, we enjoyed eating at Trattoria La Moretta (seafood, especially a local dish using stockfish, is the specialty although they also have meants) in the major piazza near the newly re-opened Teatro delle Muse in the old city section close to the port.

Don't miss Urbino. As I recall there is a 3 star drive detailed in the green Michelin thru Umbria to Urbino and Le Marche.

I stayed near Capodarco for two weeks over Easter [March-April] many years ago. It's a beautiful part of Italy.

Just wore thin layers: e.g. cotton, wool, and had a lightweight all-weather jacket on hand. It's similar to what I did three years ago in Europe at the same time of the year, travelling by train with one roll-on case. It's easier now to find packable fabrics - even easier this year with the crushed look! :-)
