Le Jules Verne question?
 

We have reservations for lunch at 12:30. Does that mean that we have to arrive super early to try and get up in time or do we get "priority" access?
If we do get "priority" are we able to go all the way to the top of the tower after lunch (even if we do have to pay extra I don't mind)?

You will take an elevator that is expressly for the Jules Verne. I think we got there about 12:15 (which if I recall correctly was when they started sending people up). I think it might help a little to arrive early to get a better table. While I won't guaranty you a window table, it will prevent you from being too far into the interior of the room.

You can take an elevator the rest of the way to the top from the restaurant. In my experience, it's not a problem getting up but getting down is terrible. The lines are long and people keep sneaking into the fronts.

You have to pay a little to go on up to the top--it was about 20FF so maybe 3E now.

Forgot to add, the elevator for LJV is under a canopy at the back right of the tower--yellow, I think.

Can you tell me approx. what lunch would cost, we do not drink. Entree and dessert.

The prix fixe menu--3 courses--is about $50. You will have MORE than enough to eat!!

Rather than go to the top, you may want to just walk about outdoors on the second level (where Le Jules Verne is located) following your main courses. This is plenty high up! It's far more spacious and less crowded that the top level. I think the views and photo ops are actually superior from this level, compared to the top. Advise your waiter that you'd like to have your dessert and coffee in the cocktail lounge when you return. (Pay attention to the door from which you exit - you'll need to get buzzed back in via the same door.) The views from there are the best - toward Notre Dame, Place de la Concorde, and so forth. Much more relaxing and enjoyable than scrambliing with the crowds for the elevators back down from the top!
