Le Havre

We are visiting Le Havre for a day. The ship docks there at 7:00AM and we do not like the ships tours. Are there any bus (Public transportation) or taxis to take you around with out doing the ships tours? Any idea of the costs? Thank you in advance.

Le Havre itself has many interesting sights..you are just 20 minutes or so from Honfleur and an hour from Rouen

We pulled into LeHavre a couple of years ago and rented a car and drove up to Fecamp to tour the Monk's B&B making operation, drove down to Etretat and walked around the seaside town, had wonderful lunch on the beach, then drove down to Honfleur and spent the afternoon walking around the town. It was very doable and we didn't feel rushed.

We met some people off the ship that had taken the bus to Honfleur for the day.

Ship tours are very costly, and if you are adventurous, you can do it on your own. ((b))
