layover time

Hi,

Looking ot buy airline tickets (Lufthansa) from NY/NJ to Florence, Italy with layover in Frankfurt. Does 2 hours sound like a reasonable amount of time for the layover in Frankfurt? Wondering if it's too short.

Yes, it is plenty of time, in my experience.

Paul, are both of your flights with Lufthansa? If so, I think you'll be fine.

Hi Betty,

I'm booking for my sister and brother-in-law here and wasn't sure of the layover time being enough.

Both are Lufthansa flights. Thanks Betty and J62 for the help.

Betty, did you visit Austria recently? I thought you were planning a Sept. trip.

Paul, we had to postpone our September trip because my husband got very sick with pancreatitis. We rebooked for October 24-November 7. Never been that late in the year. Hoping the weather won't be too cold and miserable. Have you ever traveled there that late in the year?

We were there a couple of years ago at that time period and days were really warm, I had packed fall clothes and wished that I had lighter weight items. You can never tell what the weather will be--lightweight layers are the key.

So sorry to hear, Betty. We went to the Rhine/Mosel/Bavaria/Tirol late October/early Nov. in 2007. Wonderful weather for just about the entire trip. One of the warmest days we had (in Zell am See) was the beginning of Nov.

That's encouraging to hear. Thanks Paul and Poconolady. Maybe we'll be lucky!
