Lava Oia's in Santorini
Well..there sure are many choices in Oia..one looks more beautiful than the next. We stumbled across Lava Oia's..and at a pretty good rate (150E). Our trip will be at the end of September..and we will be in Oia for 3 nights. We will return in Mid October..at the end of our trip (to fly out) and will stay closer to town (Fira). We think at Hotel Ira. I searched Lava Oia..and only see 1 or 2 reviews. Anyone?? My biggest concern is it seems a bit isolated (I'm not looking for a crowd..but I don't want to be in the middle of the woods) Of course Aspaki gets all the rave reviews..and we almost booked. However it seems that the Endless Blue Suite is what actually gets the rave reviews..and at 300 plus is out of our budget. The Romeo and Juliet suite that is less..looks much further down the hill..and ..well..it's not Endless Blue. Opinions??

Well I'm booked at Lava Oia in May, I haven't stayed yet, but have only heard good things.
Did you see the tripadvisor reviews? Quite a few there: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev..._Cyclades.html |
Thanks saltymuffin....just curious what made you select Lava Oia...out of all the choices.

Good question! Firstly, we decided on Oia, which narrows things down. Lava Oia has the view and private terrace that we wanted at an affordable rate. Many of the places in a similar price bracket don't have such great views. I was also really taken with the photos of the place. They look very authentic.

"They" being the suites, which look very authentic. (or my image of authentic anyway!)
