Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland Accommodations for family
 

I am looking for a bed and breakfast or small hotel that could accommodate my family of four for 275.00 usd. or less. We would need to be walking distance from the train station. Thank you so much!

Hotel Oberland has some nice apartments that might work. We keep planning to stay there, but the five night minimum has been an issue for us in the past. They're a short walk from the train station (as is most accommodation in Lauterbrunnen) and directly across the street from their hotel which has a wonderful restaurant.

The local website for Lauterbrunnen has apartments for rent if you're staying more than a few days. Also, if asking for accommodation in a particular location, it's always helpful to use the local currency.

Well, what have you already looked at and rejected and why?

We've been satisfied and enjoyed the Hotel Staubbach. www.staubbach.com It has a terrific location and the balcony views are stunning--and most importantly, it is in your price range. Easy access to the Lauterbrunnen valley as well as the trains from Interlaken and up the mountains. Its family oriented.

I would also second the Hotel Staubbach. It has been quite a while since I have been there but I am guessing it hasn't changed much. It is an older property with character -- in other words not a cookie cutter modern facility. However, it was clean and comfortable and my family enjoyed our stay. Ask for a waterfall view, if possible.
