The had the fondue at l'Etage. It's just around the corner from the hotel. When you walk out of Splendid, walk to your left, take your first left, walk a couple of minutes and the restaurant will be on your left.

Random thoughts from the trip...
After a few days, DH and I noticed that waiters focused on him and pretty much ignored me (reading specials, etc.). I didn't care since I still got my amazing food. Has anyone else had this experience? It wasn't everywhere but at enough places to notice.
The croissants were amazing. Everywhere.
I encountered much less rudeness than the last times I was in Paris (99 and 01). Perhaps because I traveled with a better budget? Or with a husband? Or maybe I was more sensitive back then? Who knows...
I loved staying in an apartment.
