Laundry in Bamberg / Rothenburg, Germany?
 

We'll need to do a load of laundry half way through our trip, while we're in Bamberg or Rothenburg.

Any suggestions on where to find a place to do it ourselves?

We have done laundry at a launderette in Rothenburg very near the train station: Johanitergasse 9. It was popular and there was a wait.

If you happen to stay at the Gasthof Goldener Greifen in Rothenburg, they will either do a load for you or allow you to do it yourself, for a fee in both cases. We had a load done. It is handy to go about your day and come back to the room to find a basket of nicely folded clean clothes.

Gary_Mc - Thanks for the info for Rothenburg. We actually enjoy our launderette visit when we are travelling, and usually come away with some kind of interesting experience as a memory.

Russ - We leave in 5 days and all the hotel rooms have already been booked, so apartment staying is not the answer to our laundry problem. However, thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you for your Bamberg launderette info. I think perhaps we'll have more time to do our laundry in Bamberg, between visiting breweries. At least it will make doing the laundry more fun.

Yes, we plan on trying a Rauchbier while in Bamberg. I also want to try a Radler at some point on our trip, since I'm already a 7-up drinker.
