laundrettes in Scotland

We are packing, and wish to pack light. We are going to Edinburgh,Aviemore, Thurso, Ullapool, Stornoway, and Oban. Will we find laundrettes in those towns?

Most every town of any size has a launderette - Ullapool and maybe Thurso will be the most difficult. But many B&Bs will allow you to wash/dry a few things - just don't over do it cuz their utility costs are out of sight.

Also - for "flimsies", hand washing works since many places have heated towel rails that dry underwear and socks nicely.

Edinburgh-no problem- all over the place
Aviemore-I think so but haven't been able to confirm tonight. I'll check tomorrow
Thurso-there's a dray cleaners which MAY do laundry too, but I would think it will be a service wash if they do-Mr Kleen,21 Sinclair St. 825142. Otherwise there's laundry facilities at the backpackers hostel-

Ullapool- all I can find again is thebackpackers hostel which ahs laundry facilities- Richard or Stewart @ Ullapool Tourist Hostel.
Stornoway-Erica's Laundrette, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.

Oban- same as Aviemore.

Laundrette in Oban on the corner of Stevenson Street and Tweedle Street; in Aviemore behind the POst Office- down the wee street opposite the Winking Owl(don't ask!)
