DAvid has reflux syndrome and he always insist I stock up on Rennies in Paris and London because they are so much more effective than tums or maalox. I also buy Voltaren gel for sore muscles and even my tired feet! It requires an RX in the States!

I too always stock up on voltaren gel, I think it was just 6E and at home with prescription is about 40$. I too put it on my feet at the end of the day, it relieves all pain ,I also use it on my carpel tunnel , the stuff is amazing to say the least!

Elbow alert: I don't have elbow issues, but I do get a little bumpy on the back of my arms. I bought a sonicare skin scrubber and it's amazing. If you use it for about a month I swear you will see a difference. I use it with a nice scrub and then I put my moisturizer on it and put that on at the end of my shower...I can't leave home without this machine!!

While searching I found this thread from '03. It's old but has some great ideas in general. I hope it's helpful to someone reading this thread.

The Balik salmon from Prunier on Place de la Madeleine is delicious! The salmon is so tender and moist.

A couple of recommendations from David Lebovitz with which I whole-heartedly concur:
the Pimandes (peppery chocolate covered almonds) and the Sauternes-soaked chocolate-covered raisins from Da Rosa, 62 rue du Seine. Yum!

The Humex is a fine for us since we can't get Sudafed, etc without a prescription here in Oregon. And for whatever reason, it works better than anything I have ever tried, even years ago when more was available OTC.

I want to go to the RATP boutique
located at the Les Halles complex.
They have gifts all about the Metro.
I have boxer shops. This time maybe a t-shirt.
Another place in the Post Office museum boutique
At the Musée de la Poste, the shop Correspondances offers a fine choice of objects linked to the role and history of the Post Office: original postcards, objects and ideas for gifts.
I'm after a cloth shoulder bag that says Poste, great for
walking my dog.

I love Avene sun screen. It comes in a sensitive skin version and is wonderful I've been able to stock up the last 2 years.

If you want Voltaren and can't get to Paris but can get to
Canada - it's OTC here.
