Latest finds in Paris. What is your favorite?

There have been threads about this in the past but I don't see a recent one. I know about Voltarene, the mustards and other food items. What about any cremes or beauty items that you can only find in Paris? Any other suggestions? Merci!

I only ever find Roc Enydrial hand cream is Paris. It is so good it even works on the psoriasis on my elbows! I have seen it on ebay for around $14,00 a tube, at Cite Pharmacie on Rue du Four and Bonaparte it is 3 Euro a tube!! Stocked up last fall and will again later this month.

I agree with Avalon. I bought that cream last summer and wow, love the stuff! Really wish I had bought more.

Avalon--Take a look at the body balm of that line too. Really good! I am envious that you get to stock up again, lol.

Thank you ladies (I presume). The Roc cream is now added to my shopping list. Thanks Gomiki for the thread, an excellent start and I hope more ideas are forthcoming.

There is a store on the Rue Jacob near Laduree.

You and pal Mimi can stop at Deyrolle on Rue du Bac and head over to Jerome Dreyfuss.

Your old, old friend,
Pepper

I don't think my husband has ever looked at my elbows, but I think I'll give the cream a try too.

Zen's "nap bar" - finally, something for all those daytrippers from London or Brussels who start to droop around 4 pm and who don't have a hotel to go back to. Now there's a place to put your feet up and have a quick snooze.

Oh, I thought this was an "elbow" thread, and now a "Bar a sieste!" What will Paris think of next!!

PLUS the Jerome Dreyfuss fab web site. (and I think I can guess who "Pepper" is, yay!)

I'm in love again.

My new favorite moisturizer: Eucerin Hyaluron Filler. There's a day cream or lotion, and a night cream: apparently it has a bit of a cult following. I can't vouch for the anti-wrinkle claims, but it does make my skin feel very nice, and it's not terribly expensive.

Another item that we always stock up on is cold medicine called Humex. I have no idea whats in it, but it works!

I have bought that at various pharmacies on several trips, but last summer finally hit Cite Pharmacie, and it was significantly less expensive on the items we bought than at any of the other places, FWIW. It was always very crowded though, so just take a healthy dose of patience with you.

Humex is just a typical combination cold medicine, you can buy similar things in ths US. It has paracetamol (which is like Tylenol), an antihistamine (such as in Chlor-Trimeton) and that drug that is kind of like an upper (pseudoephedrine or something, like Sudafed).

For cold medicine, I always stock up on Dolirhume (available at any pharmacy). It may be similar to Humex, but I always recover faster from a cold when I take it.

For chocolate bars, look for Cote d'Or (available in many grocery stores). It's actually made in Belgium but very popular in France (for good reason!).

Thanks for the helpful thread!
