Late night dining in Malaga

Hello

I arrive in Malaga around 00.15 on Thursday night (well Friday morning). I'm not familiar with the town and am wondering will there be anywhere open to eat still at that time?

I am then spending F/S/S doing a road trip - but can't decide whether to go East or West! Reading up on lots of forum posts!

Any help much appreciated!
Thanks

Talia

supper time starts around 8 until midnight. I've walked through the town at night and it does close down.

Will you be at Malaga station or airport (you have a fair bit of time to spend to get to town if at the airport?

You might like to hunt in further fromn this website

You 'arrive in Malaga around 00.15 on Thursday night (well Friday morning)' - presumably the airport - the airport is not the city - you will not have left the airport and on your way for an hour, very, very, bare minimum, if car pick up.
Are you saying you do not have the first night's accommodation booked?

either go East (less concrete that way) or North to Seville and Cordoba though I would take the train rather than drive

I arrive at the airport at 23.15 and don't have any cabin luggage to wait for was hoping to be in car and able to pick someone up at train station for 00.15. I've got a first night booked in Malaga.

'pick up at train station' - which? Presuming the city's Maria Zambrano station, half the concourse is devoted to eateries and is probably your best bet, as well as a two or three almost opposite. I also presume you will have direction.

Yes, Maria Zambrano. I didn't realise there was more than one so sorry for not specifying. I have a sat nav. Thanks.

Do any bars keep serving tapas till late? Was considering calling into El Pimpi - see it's open till 2am.

I was about to suggest El Pimpi too, a fun place and an institution in town. Haven't eaten there so late (in fact not at all), but if I recall correct through the manzanilla and brandy clouds there has always been plenty of people eating in the sit down section after midnight. You should at least be able to get some fine cured ham, cheese, sausages, salmorejo and olives, and that's not a bad start.

Five minutes and 5€ with taxi from Maria Zambrano.
