Last Supper Tickets for Sept, Oct 2009

The tickets for Last Supper in Milan up to Oct 31, 2009 are now available at www.cenacolovinciano.org
The window just opened on 6/23 so there are many time slots available now.

I just went through a purchasing process -- I say it was much better than dealing with Trenitalia that it "claimed" to have accepted my U.S. credit card EVENTUALLY and gave me a PDF file with a reservation code on it.

The process went ok on this slow.... site until I got to select the time slot. Then I repeatedly received "generic error" messages. After trying out iExplore, FireFox, and Safari, I decided it was probably no brawser related. I gave up and left the screen overnight. Then what do you know, I clicked the time selection again and the Teleart site proceeded to give me a page to select the number of tickets I wanted to buy. I went through several more pages on this slow... site and finally gave me a PDF file when I pressed "print" at the end of the process. whew...

I checked the available ticket count for that time slot to make sure it decreased by the number of tickets I thought I bought. I also received a receipt of payment as well as a confirmation of the reservation emails. So far so good.

Hmmm, I think I got mine thru selectitaly.com and had no problems at all. The site says you can't reserve tickets more than 60 days in advance.

Nice Greg. I did the same three months ago for dates in a couple of weeks (July). June and July dates went on sale Mar. 30 and both months pretty much sold out in the first hour that they were available. It's nice to pay €8 instead of the prices the agencies charge, some of which I've seen as high as €70 when bundled in a package.

Enjoy your visit! This will be my 2nd time to see it since the renovation and it's truly an amazing and beautiful masterpiece to view.

www.cenacolovinciano.org is the official website. Select Italy is a reseller and charges double.

And if you're staying at a hotel in Milan, they would be happy to obtain Last Supper tickets for you.

Do these hotels charge you more than the face value of the tickets?

yk, I've done this twice, and neither hotel charged a fee. I'd definitely try to get tickets through my hotel before going another route.

Has anyone tried this site www.cenacolovinciano.org
recently? I'm trying to book tickets for late Sept (perhaps impossible) but when I try this link I get a "site under construction screen". I've tried googling but nothing new (short of the various tour groups ) comes up. I'll keep trying but would welcome any advice. Thanks.
