I was there in Sept. two years ago. I got tickets online in advance, but there were lots of people who got tickets at the door, or possibly thru their hotel.

The Select Italy web site says
"The "Last Supper" management has temporarily suspended all advanced booking. Select Italy is happy to accept your orders but will not be able to process until sales re-open. Site management has not set a date for when reservations will be accepted again. " Which would lead me to believe that advance tickets cannot be had anywhere. Try contacting the concierge at your hotel. Can usually do this by email. See what they say. BTW, when we were there, those without advance tickets were turned away. Good luck. |
I was there this past June (2009). While I had advance tickets, I noticed people inquiring about last minute entrance...and they were able to buy a ticket. You may not be able to get an English guide, but at least you may be able to get in.
So do go by and inquire if you can't reserve in advance. |
When I was in Milan, about 3 months after The Last Supper re-opened (what year was that?) my friend and I just grabbed a cab and went to the Last Supper church on a whim, very near the end of the day. (My friend lived in Italy and is very savvy about how Italians do things.)
We were the last two people allowed in the "stand by" line (my phrase) a rope was put across behind us, and those behind in the waiting line were told they would not get in. We waited about twenty minutes, and noticed that our line was fed in as people with reservations did not show on time, and that's how we got in. Seemed easy at the time. My guess is they still have something like that for "walk ups." |
