Last Supper tickets
 

Are tickets for Last Supper still sold 3 months in advance? I have been checking http://www.vivaticket.it/ but does not appear that any tickets are on sale. Any information about this is much appreciated.

We also had this issue a few years ago. We booked a city tour which included the Last Supper which worked for us.
Included transportation to and from as well as a tour of other city sites. It was a half day tour.
Hope this helps. Definitely take the time to see it...seeing it was a true highlight of our Italy trip.

It's very difficult to get Last Supper tickets without signing up for one of those overpriced tours. I refuse to buy them.

The time we planned to see the Last Supper, we had no interest in a city tour. We were spending most of our time in Milan with friends who live there. I tried and failed to get tickets through the official site, and we decided to forget about seeing it. Fortunately, when we got to Milan, we realized that it had free entry on the Feast of Saint Ambrose (Sant'Ambrogio), the patron saint of Milan, and that the next day was the feast day! We lined up very early in the morning and got in after a 20-minute wait.

I've read that you might have more luck calling their ticket office rather than trying to buy online. Their number is +39 02 92800360 .

a few years ago when I wanted tickets, I called them. got them no problem.

When I wanted tickets, I asked the concierge at my hotel to book them for me. I couldn't get the first date I wanted, but I was able to get them for a different day. Of course, I went during the off-season, and that probably has a strong impact on how easy it is to book.

I would check with your hotel about it.

You can look into various city tours that include the LS (which one poster deemed "overpriced" but you can decide for yourself). Outside of that and the hotel/concierge option, it's going to be difficult.

I have seen it three times. Go there early morning and ask when there might be availability. Every time they have told me when to come back. Fix the rest of your day around when there is availability - Brera, Duomo etc.

I want to go in May - and have only one day in Milan. I checked the official website but May tickets are not being released. The tickets are like 6.90 euro and the 'tours' are like 45 euro... It isn't a make or break for me but I would like to see it.

Vivaticket site says: 'The opening sale day for the month of May 2016 has been postponed for organizational reasons of the Museum. We will publish the new date as soon as possible.'

The problem with the "city tours" was not just the price, but the fact that it took up a lot of time with other things we had no interest in. We know the city fairly well, and my husband went to university there. We'd already seen everything included on these tours. I don't understand why the convent sells most of their tickets to tour operators.

I highly encourage to wait for May tickets to go on sale.

In addition, I was unaware that your ticket only allows for 15 minutes of viewing time. Unfortunately, in my case, closer to 10, as we were waiting on a tour guide and his group whom were taking their time getting to the anteroom (where you must congregate before they open the actual door to the room).

If I had to do it over, I'd have purchased two tickets (not consecutively, because they make you depart the room out a second door, so they can let the next group in). But I would have purchased a ticket for a second viewing, 1/2 hour after my first. i.e. 2pm and 2:30pm. This would allow you to view it from 2-2:15pm and get back around to the front of the building to also get back in for the 2:30 viewing. Just my opinion that if you go that far and through that much trouble to see it... you want to make sure you get the time needed to do so.

The answer is usually spelled m-o-n-e-y. (Or s-o-l-d-1, if you prefer.)

Yes there is a big price difference between official tickets and using a tour operator. But i got a couple good ideas here...call them or ask hotel. I will try both and see
