Last Supper and Milan
We will be in Italy this coming week and my husband has just decided he would like to go to Milan and see the Last Supper Painting. From what I have read, advanced tickets are required. Does anyone know if we could still get these? Being that it is rather "off-season" would we stand a chance? We will be in Rome for the first week, so what would be the best way to handle this? Thanks!!

It doesn't hurt to try. The Last Supper usually sells out long in advance, but you never know. there could be cancellations or no shows. It is worth a shot. Check out

Sorry - don't know why that put the wrong URL in the last post.
Here you go http://www.tickitaly.com/tickets/las...er-tickets.php |
If the tickets are sold out, you can possibly still get a half-day bus tour of Milan that includes a visit to the Last Supper.
The tour is booked through the Milan Tourist office. If your husband is really determined to go, he should find their number on the web and call them immediately. It's a six hour time difference between NYC and Milan, and I never expect an Italian tourist office to be open between noon and 4 (Italy time). |
Here's a direct link to the Web site of the Last Supper; no ticket surcharges:
http://www.cenacolovinciano.org/ I was looking at it yesterday, and it looked as if bookings were wide open. I'm not sure whether that is really the case or whether it's a computer glitch. |
Try www.selectitaly.com. They are very helpful and wonderful to work with...
